Morane-Saulnier MS.230 on floor. Flown as the "secret German monoplane" in the movie "The Blue Max", 1966. Purchased after filming by star George Peppard, and later donated to museum. Arrived in German markings remaining from movie, but recovered, restored, and repainted in museum basement restoration shop before going on display with correct French markings. Automobile was a French Amilcar. (As the San Diego Automotive Museum was still many years away from being established, early on, the Aerospace Museum did accept a few vintage cars as donations, to add 'flavor' to the meager exhibit floor.)
