One of a sequence of at least 11 Bain photos, probably circulated around the time of Booker T. Washington's death in November, 1915, depicting people and activities connected with the institution he founded in Tuskegee, Alabama in 1881, and to which he devoted his life. She worked for Bain early in her career, and took more than 500 photos of Tuskegee in 1902-1906, www.loc.gov/pictures/collection/coll/item/86706935/ I'll try to check on Monday, Helena (LOC)

Lyndhurst, at Tarrytown, New York. The house and grounds are now operated as a museum and park by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The former stables have been converted into a restaurant. Lyndhurst web site.
