The helicopter on fire is BuNo 144658 (c/n 58-546), a Sikorsky LH-35D Seahorse belonging to US Navy Squadron VX-6. This would date this photo to be December 23, 1962. Please see the link below for further information about the fire and the other helicopter in the photo. See: www.vaq34.com/vxe6/h-34.htm The helicopter tail to the left of the frame belongs to another Sikorsky LH-35D Seahorse (BuNo 145717, c/n 58-804) operated by VX-6. Here is the very same helicopter now on display as an exhibit at the New England Air Museum at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT. Photo Credit - cliff1066™'s Flickr Photostream:
