Scotts Mills Bridge, also known as Newlen Bridge, crossed Butte Creek on the Clackamas and Marion County line in the small logging community of Scotts Mills. (Population: 360 in 2013.)

Reported as being built in either 1906 or 1924, the bridge was used extensively in the community until 1951 when Marion County replaced it with the present steel bridge of a Warren polygonal pony truss design on what is now known as South Nowlens Bridge Road. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Most unusual image of the Dodder and its water hazards. In my time I've kayaked down that but only when there was lots of rain for a week or two beforehand. The Dodder is one of the most exciting rivers for kayaking but rarely has enough of a flow.

The sawmill was a calico printing factory at the time of the 6 inch survey, so it would seem to be after that.

6-inch seems to have been 1837, so that doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know. 25-inch is 1911, also useless.

The two men remind me of Keaton and Chaplin. Mainly based on the hats.
