Amelita Galli-Curci (18 November 1882 – 26 November 1963) was an Italian operatic coloratura soprano. Homer David Samuels (sic!) (1889-1956) was Galli-Curci's husband and accompanist, playing the piano or celeste on many of Galli-Curci's recordings for the Victor label (adp.library.ucsb.edu/index.php/matrix/index?Matrix%5Bsear...) Galli-Curci, the opera singer, and her accompanist, Homer Samuels, were married in Minneapolis on Saturday. And it was for Homer Samuels, her pianist, that she pined, she found when he met her at the pier in New York on her return. Homer proposed right there and she accepted.
