  This is the ship that disappeared in March of 1918. Her loss is often attributed to the Bermuda Triangle. Naval accounts indicate she may have been overloaded with manganese; her captain had replaced her supercargo with an inexperienced crewman. Her wreck has never been found.

  I knew I remembered this ship's name, yes the Bermuda triangle is why. *Collier: full load displacement 19,360; length 542'; beam 65'; draft 27'8"; speed 15 knots.; complement 236 she was Naval Auxilliary until May 1, 1917. This photo appears to be dated 10/01/11 in reverse on the upper left corner.
