    The color is off,but this might be due to the materials available at the time, or because of deterioration over the years. The photographer did capture a good pattern of repeating shapes, straight and curved. The composition as a whole is very pleasing to the eye.

    The Library of Congress did not seem to take the time to color correct these old photos. But a few moments in Photoshop and you can see how truly beautiful and remarkable these photos were when they were taken.

    I notice that the colors are a bit dark, but I still think that the essence of the pictures are still captured in their entirety.

    The 1860 Bank of Ireland building at right with the arches was "renovated" in 1901, although it looks like a complete rebuild to me.
