Indeed, because he was dead at the time and his wife too. Sadly begining the First World War. His morganatic wife was the Princess then after 1909 Duchess (and not Countess) Hohenberg, former Countess Sophie Chotek. In the right on the picture

You are joking, of course. On June 28, 1914, Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg, were assassinated in Sarajevo, while on a visit to Serbia, which then was a province of Austria-Hungary. The assassination was a precipitating event in the clash of alliances that produced World War I. The assassin was a Serbian nationalist, Gavrilo Princip.
