  Dr. Alice Kirke was closely associated with the Presbyterian Church in North Queensland and at Ipswich and Wynnum. She practised in Ipswich for 20 years and acted as a consultant shortly before her death in 1941. She was the wife of the Reverend G.K. Kirke. Cypress trees have been planted at the front entry of St. Stephen's Church, Ipswich, Queensland, Australia by the Womens Guild in memory of Alice Kirke, their late president.
