An apple a day keeps the cider maker away?

500 apples would make a couple of gallons, not a pint. Even if they were crab apples it would still be a few pints.

It says in the census he lived in O'Connell Street, so it's presumably here: maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,625421,593310,11,9 Edit: Or possibly not. No matter how you count it, I don't think you'd get Brewery Lodge to be house 16, especially since the buildings return says it's a shop. Mind you, I don't see anything else marked as either a brewery, a bottling plant, or a jam factory (his other occupations), so maybe this is it and he just lives over the shop instead of in a swanky house.

Here we go. It appears from this related photo (catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000591865) that it's here: maps.osi.ie/publicviewer/#V2,625603,593223,11,9

derangedlemur Looking at your 25" link, we are looking West, the big house behind the wall must be Brewery Lodge (now gone) and the chimneys are Saint Brigid's Well Brewery. The brewery gate arch is still standing, from 1862 (streetview).
