Foxglove Me too! I notice the boy with the white collar on the right is carrying a basket similar to the one my Dad used when he was working on the the railway. He would carry his lunch and necessities in it with his "journals" where he noted the accounts of the times and places he would go to!

Now Pearse Street According to mullingarhistory.wordpress.com/mullingar-town-council-blogs/, Earl Street appears to have been named in honour of the new Landlord of Mullingar, Colonel Greville, who had purchased the town in 1858. In 1920-21, streets were re-named after patriot dead and other suitable figures.

We see the gable of #18 at right, built in 1870. If it was built, we would see the bay window of 20-22, built around 1890.

51 and 52 have been replaced by an ugly bank. 50 with the bay oriel window is still looking good: Streetview, 25" map at GeoHive

In the window I see David Brett's Nursery Painting Book. I see some books illustrated by a David Brett around 1906-1911, but I can't find that particular book yet.

Imperial Rover sign: Per wikipedia: Rover was established in 1878 by John Kemp Starley in Coventry to produce bicycles. The company developed and produced the Rover Imperial motorcycle in November 1902.

I'm guessing the gent in the shop doorway is Frederick Wm Day He was in Nenagh in 1901, too, but living in Barrack Street.

The crack could be carefully photoshopped out.
