    This is not a line-up of new ambulances.. It is a line up of Albion A10 3 ton trucks(lorrys). The Albion Company supplied 6,000 A10 3 tonners to the War Dept. during WW1. I have a restored 1916 Albion A10 3 ton truck here in Australia. It is Chassis no. 361A and was laid down on the 6th December 1915 for delivery in February 1916. The winter muffs were supplied when new but didn't last too long once in the field.

I would like to point out that whilst images were used for 'propaganda' purposes we should remember that the taking of photographs was an important method of chronicling the activities of a near-million man army, by far the largest organised group of British people ever formed.
