I think the painter realized later on in the process that he needed to shorten the name "San Franciso" Otherwise it would say "Philly to Frisco".

It´s intersting that nobody is smiling. Only one cheaky boy has a grin in the face. From driver`s head to the left (over the belly of the officer) - and there he is.

frisco was a common name back then, none of the hangups most ppl have with "Frisco" today.

It's so sad that only one building remains from this beautiful exposition.

Beyond the New York State building which is now the county historical museum, all these structures were built with lathe and plaster.

There's a cool mystery novel entitled "City of Light" that takes place here.
