  The person on the top right is Mr. P. B. Shekar, former collections specialist at the Bombay Natural History Society and a regular camp member of many expeditions by Dr. Ripley in India. Mr. Shekar would have many a splendid tale to speak of about the Ripley expeditions and someone from the Smithsonian should probably get in touch with him at the BNHS and record the stories.

  Born in Willesden, London in 1896, the only son and youngest of three children born to Charles Henry Green [b.1858 Liverpool] and Sarah Eleanor Green nee Booth [b.1865 Padiham, Lancs.]. The 1911 census records him as a school boy living at “Kingsleigh”, Ealing Road, London, with his parents and older sisters Gladys [b.1889 Liverpool] and Lalla [b.1892 Walthamstow, London].
