"The Russian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Nicholas, at 15 East 97th Street, was built in 1902 and soon became an American battleground for conflicts between czarist and Soviet Russians." From: www.russianchurchusa.org/index.php3?mode=985&ln=en It's still there, you can see it in the street view on google maps. The buildings on both sides are also still there.
