  LOC - This photo and contemporary newspaper accounts indicate that the name of this ship is properly spelt "Milazzo", despite Bain's labeling.

  Fascinating set of this ship. They don't build them like they used to! I had no idea that there were narrow gauge rail tracks on such ships. Looks as if these skips were pulled/pushed by hand.

  She was great. The Italian steamer SS Milazzo, the largest cargo ship and the largest collier in the world at the time of her construction in 1916. She was sunk by Austro-Hungarian submarine U-14 in August 1917.
