    Well, you can see the airmen posing by their warplanes, and you can see the bombers flying in formation, and you can see them dodging the flak to get to the target, but only photos such as this one make you realize what warfare does to us. Enormous losses of capital investments take place in the blink of an eye. Where do you even begin sorting out a ruin like this one?

    Thanks. I feel sorry for a lot of the prisoners too - quite a few of them probably had terrible childhoods, which they never really recovered from. I've done a bit of research recently and added the stories to quite a few images uploaded over the past six months or so. If you look back through the sets you might find some more interesting stories. It's always intriguing to discover if the reported crimes match my initial reaction to each prisoner.
