I don't think this was taken in 1950. The cars all look pre 1950, and the Potts Point Trolley Bus route closed in 1948. The wires were symptomatically removed soon after. In the photo above, all the overhead is still intact. Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross.

Pix's caption: 'ATTACHED sari gives added distinction to this white silk evening gown embroidered in pale blue sequins, featuring silver brocade. Fur is Platina fox.'
