Mary Elizabeth Egan; Egan-Mulry, M.; born in 1863 Morganstown, County Roscommon, Ireland; died 1934 Charters Towers, Queensland; She came to Australia in 1886 with her brother John when she was in her early twenties to settle in Brisbane. Mulry traveled extensively through the Commonwealth as a freelance journalist, contributing to numerous Australian newspapers and periodicals. Reginald Septimus Boys was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on 11 Nov 1883 to Joseph William Augustus Boys and Sarah Ann Cooper. Reginald Septimus Boys had 2 children. He passed away in 1973 in Country Queensland. One of his children, his son Kelvin Reginald Boys, born in 1919, served as a lieutenant during WW2 and died of wounds accidentally received on August 17, 1945, at Torokina, Bougainville. His remains were buried in the Torokina War Cemetery on 18th August 1945. At the time of his death, Kelvin Boys was 26 years of age. After the war, his remains were interred in the Port Moresby (Bomana) War Cemetery and his headstone contains the family inscription of: “Loved boy and loving son. Hope has forever gone”. William Cumbrae-Stewart (1865–1938), Professor of Law, and Queensland Historian. Cumbrae-Stewart was appointed foundational Registrar and Librarian of the University of Queensland in 1910. In 1922 he was awarded a Doctor of Civil Law from Oxford for the thesis, “Action Pauliana; its origin development and nature.” In January 1926 Cumbrae-Stewart became Garrick Professor of Law, laying the foundation for the full faculty that was set up when he retired in 1936. Although not a well-published researcher, Cumbrae-Stewart was an important contributor to the discipline of Queensland history. In1925 he became a founder and the President of the (Royal) Historical Society of Queensland as well as the editor of the Society’s journal.
