By the way, it's "Noreuil", named after an area in France fought over in WWI at which a number of Albury's own saw action. Here's almost the same view from 2010: in the top right you can see the round metal structure www.flickr.com/photos/gavinlang/4859093413

Mich The Heritage NSW website states "Bethanga Bridge was built between 1927 and 1930 as a joint venture between New South Wales and Victoria as part of the Hume Dam project..." The lake/dam came after the bridge was built. Wodonga City Council Website says: "The construction of Lake Hume Dam was completed in 1936, when it was the largest dam in the Southern Hemisphere with a shoreline of 365km and a capacity of up to three million megalitres of water." We have amended the caption to show it's Lake Hume Dam. Thank you
