Cameramen during filmming of "Wind Across the Everglades" on location in Everglades National Park

The camera is a Mitchell BNC on a Mitchell gear head on a spider dolly. That is a Mole-Richardson Arc lamp on the right with a yellow filter that was always added to counter the blue color of the arc itself. Sorry but I do not know the men in the picture for sure so I am guessing. I suspect the man in the dark jacket is Director Nicholas Ray while the man in the hat is the camera operator. Ray has just approved the framing and that is why the operator has his hands on the wheels so that he knows for sure the shot as approved. The man in the light jacket is probably the 1st Camera Assistant. The man with the dark hair is possibly the Director of Photography Joseph C. Brun for he is wearing a lanyard possibly holding the "badge of office," a contrast viewing filter. He normally would stand near the director so they could discuss the upcoming shot.
