See www.oldpostcards.com/indian.html and www.oldpostcards.com/i/ind000407.html for image of postcard using what appears to be this image (colored). Postcard is from Glacier National Park.

Another copy of the postcard is at swcenter.fortlewis.edu/images/D002/D0020321Page.htm -- with 'circa 1908' as date. However Glacier National Park was not established as such until 1910.

www.archive.org/details/pressclubbulleti00pres suggests that in November 1912, Medicine Owl, a Chief of the Blackfeet and "Chief of Medicine Men" was a luncheon guest at the Chicago Press Club. See print page 284.

I think the date written on the negative is 1-18-13.

Several articles about Medicine Owl ran in the Chicago Daily Tribune, November 24 and 28, 1913.

A Nov 24 article states that he met with Mary Garden. LC uploaded photos of her recently as well, see around .

The Nov 28 article says that he christened Italian opera singer Titta Ruffo with the name "Chee-ka-komeena, Thunder Chief". LC uploaded a photo ot Titta a few weeks ago, .
