Women sewing military uniforms in Brisbane

In the early 1940s a number of factories opened, staffed mainly by women. These included a munitions factory at Rocklea and 12 textile factories in Brisbane. At one textile factory in Roma Street an incredible 19,000 garments were produced each week by only 200 women. Their work was gruelling, poorly paid and it demanded long hours. Bailiolman and anyone else who knew Jacob Rosenstein or knows something about him. I am his nephew and am trying to piece together some details regarding his last actions before being killed. We believe he was indeed a hero based on some information we have uncovered, and seeing you write the word in the comment field, obviously makes us very curious if you also have information. Hope you will respond to my query.
