Based on nothing more than the shape of the door, I'll guess that this is Patrick St. rather than Parnell St.

It looks like one of these doors: goo.gl/maps/ARF3Lr2vjCd64JSz5

It's actually across the road: www.irishtimes.com/news/social-affairs/historic-dublin-ba... Edit: Only just realised this is Parnell St - see below

I haven't found a picture of the door shut on Parnell Street, so I can't rule it out either.

Here we are: Could just as easily be Parnell St.: goo.gl/maps/SsDhj7UFHXHzb1F36

Mr Michael S. Walker was about here - goo.gl/maps/qdRRADimeKBHGc4N8 (going by the lampost being near / between those two front doors)

an Austin, a VW beetle, a Morris Minor and a Ford Capri (?). I love the phrase traffic treacle - when traffic returns I think I will pirate your idiom

Streetview The Kennedy's Bar sign appears to be still there. But the buildings either side are gone.

sorry there is no VW, it's another Austin, is it a Princess (?)

Foxglove The red one behind the Morris Minor? It's an 1100, possibly an Austin but it could also be the Morris sibling. I can't see a Capri in the shot. The beige car is a Hillman Avenger. The white car behind looks as if it might be a Fiat 1100R and the dark-coloured car entering the junction is a Vauxhall Viva. While most of the cars are, indeed, 1960s models (and VZC 480 is getting long in the tooth) the Viva and the Avenger are 1970s cars so I would guess that the photo might be from 1973 on?

I spy a Hillman Avenger, which appeared in February 1970. So the date range is 1970s, not 1960s. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillman_Avenger via Andrew~Henderson
