This photo is in www.historyplace.com/worldhistory/firstworldwar/rus-czech... with the caption: "Heavily armed Czech troops who had fought in the Czar's army against the Germans, find themselves stranded inside Soviet Russia wanting to get out. Amid the Russian civil war, the Czechs took a train and began a 6,000-mile cross-country journey toward the port of Vladivostok in eastern Russia. Along the way, they clashed with Bolsheviks and became entangled in the civil war." See also en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czechoslovak_Legion

Probably this photo, renumbered, in the Catalogue of official A.E.F. photographs (1919). There are a number of pictures in the catalog of Czechs and box cars, but the reference to camouflage (the trees tied to the side of the car), indicates this one: "75872, Czech armored train. In this manner the Czech camouflaged their train and captured many stations from the Bolsheviki, 1918. " archive.org/stream/cu31924027944598#page/n581/mode/2up
