N. Co Ltd, Sydney 1926 John Burke Ltd, Brisbane. Requisitioned in WW2 [hence the photo at the AWM website above] 1946 Hong Kong owners, later Singapore/Panama. Status: Sunk - 16/03/1966 Remarks: O.N. 125242. 1910 Registered Sydney. 06/1910 Completed. 1966 Shelled off North Vietnam in the demilitarised zone.
From - www.wrecksite.eu/wreck.aspx?195182 -SS Kettara IV was shelled (N Vietnam Army) and sunk off the DMZ, Vietnam on the 16th March 1966 and all the crew were lost. She was on route from Singapore for Danang, with a carg of cement & general cargo.
