"Sir Oliver Joseph Lodge (12 June 1851 – 22 August 1940) was an English physicist and electrical engineer whose investigations into electromagnetic radiation (EMR) contributed to the development of radio. He identified EMR independent of Heinrich Hertz's proof. In his 1894 Royal Institution lecture, The Work of Hertz and Some of His Successors, Lodge's demonstrations on methods to transmit and detect radio waves included an improved early radio receiver he named the coherer. His work led to him holding key patents in early radio communication, his "syntonic" (or tuning) patents."

I see some references to The Carriage Rooms at Montalto Estate saying "aka the Lodge", but I don't see this building...

These shots from other angles might help with identification. I don't know the area myself...

Wonderful old map which shows the location of the houses around Spa (before c.1876, when the Presbyterian Church was built ?). Unfortunately this house does not seem to be there - raremaps.com/gallery/detail/18514?view=print

This is another misidentification, I think. It's actually Raheen House in Co. Tipperary. Streetview.

Here's one of my dad's old photos of Paradise Inn and my analysis that sheds some light on why the building in this shot doesn't look anything like Paradise Inn in most later photos: It appears that the building shown here and most of what's shown in my dad's old photo was actually the old northeast old wing of the Inn that was only there for a few years. The Inn itself was behind this wing. Though this looks like more than a "kitchen wing" there is documentation that the kitchen wing was demolished and replaced in 1935. Most likely this was taken in 1926, as the dog sled was probably part of the filming of "Heart of the Yukon". See this photo and description from the Tacoma Public Library collection.
