    Strangely enough there exists a report of an inspection made by a certain Lt. J.H. Doolittle on 18.2.1925 at Kelly Field stating they had 13 SE.5E (Eberhardt built) on hand, most in good shape (visual). Counting the number of SE in this photo, I get 13.... :-), perhaps a connection? Stig

    This appears to be a DH-4M-2 with its steel tubing undercarriage moved forward 7.5 inches from the DH-4B version and 36" x 8" wheels. However, I can't see the center section struts, so it might also be a converted DH-4M-1, i.e., wooden undercarriage legs converted to steel tubing.
