kind of inspiring to see it in it's glory and not a neglected shell. Our family has been in the Land O Lakes for 4 generations now and I recall my grandmother stopping at the corner and going into the Ladies and Escorts for a beer then driving another 40 km to the cottage where there was only an ice box and ice house, no power or phones.

Jan, you are correct by saying the left sign read 'Ladies and Escorts'. We can barely see it in the enlarged photo. Thanks for the comment!

Hi Jan: You are correct. The building is still there (or maybe just the frame) and is used as a residence. It has been sold at least twice since the McDermott's owned it.

I do remember McDermotts. I know it's a residence now. Also the houses on #7 east of this building used to be owned by MNR until they were declared surplus and sold. So "the corner is different but the same".

I saw Adam Morrow, Gary Morrow and Roger Perry as well. where is the part where Dean Salmond took a header over the wire fence! casey

Thanks Casey, will add the names. There was a couple headers on the hidden barb wire fence but that ending up on the cutting room floor!
