Photo reference CO 1069-166-109 is probably taken in Kenya, notice the words "release Jomo Kenyatta" on childrean head scuff.

Thanks for drawing my attention to this terrific picture. I suspect that this photograph actually was taken in Tanzania. All the others in the piece relate to the lead up to Tanzanian independence. I surmise that these children are showing solidarity with Kenya and Kenyatta (as with "Free Nelson Mandela" events in London in the 1980s). He was released within 6 months of this photograph being taken.

Anyone recognise the name of the school on the childrens' vests?
