"James Francis "Jim" Thorpe (Sac and Fox (Sauk): Wa-Tho-Huk, translated as "Bright Path";[1] May 22, 1887 – March 28, 1953)[2] was a Sac and Fox athlete of Native American and European ancestry. Considered one of the most versatile athletes of modern sports, he won Olympic gold medals for the 1912 pentathlon and decathlon, played American football (collegiate and professional), and also played professional baseball and basketball."

Well spotted on both counts swang. Jim Thorpe it is. He's the only one not wearing a club or college emblem too.

As one commenter said in the other contiguous photograph to which you have linked, it looks like there were some more athletes to the right of that photogrpah too. So they may be a third in this series.

It is very fitting that Thorpe is the only athlete not wearing any sort of affiliated clothing. It makes him stand out for the truly remarkable athlete he was.
