My photo from ninety years later (taken 1996), from about the same point. You can see how the glacier has receded over that time.

Thanks Brenda! I read (in that vague, somewhere, some-time-ago kind of way) that scientists were studying paintings of sunsets to measure air pollution over time. Photos like these make such interesting comparisons. -- Courtney
