    Interestingly, by 1910, the Grosvenor had grown to take up the entire half of the block on which it stood. So the first image would certainly date to or before 1910 as we can see that the Grosvenor is still relatively small (I would think its possible that it might even date to around that date - maybe we could all have a go at it!). Now, on a map I've seen dated to 1910 (think it's from SRNSW?), the rest of the block was supposedly taken up by Mann's Family Hotel. From the1927 image above it doesn't seem like this was one building but maybe all the buildings on that half of the block formed parts of the Mann's Family Hotel. Clearly I need to do more research :-/
