I would think this is a fire truck.

Dave Conner said:
Definitely fire hoses stored along the side of the truck, and the helmets are polished brass (fire type)

Thanks for the information. We'll look into it.

LOC, the caption says "Lanthelme's", not Lanthelmes
This is a crop of an original Agence Rol photo on the Gallica site:

Caption: caveau de Mlle Lanthelme [profané par des voleurs au Père-Lachaise]
"Tomb of Miss Lanthelme, desecrated by robbers at Père-Lachaise"
Published 1911

The tomb-robbing, which took place on 12/21/11, is the subject of this New York Times report:
query.nytimes.com/mem/archive-free/pdf?res=9A07E3DA1231E2...
The tomb held the body of Genevieve (identified as Lucie by the Times) Lantelme (as the Times and most others spelled it), a famous beauty and comic actress of the era, who had drowned that summer (apparently accidentally) on the yacht of her millionaire husband, Alfred Charles Edwards.
Some illustrated blog entries on Lantelme:

Title: The Sidewalk 500.
I chose to delete about 5 of my comments above. They were funny but not really constructive. The included *boy @ window* "Whittle of some on the left granny, she's loose in the corners." -

I think there are two adults in that pic. The man in front, and the woman sitting on the steps.
