This Douglas RB-66C Destroyer (USAF Ser. No. 53-387) would be converted into an EB-66C Electronic Warfare aircraft. Sadly, while flying with the 432rd TRW, 41st TRS it would be shot down on February 4, 1967 by an SA-2 Surface-to-Air-Missile (SAM) (NATO Designation: Guideline) near Bac Kan/Phu Tong, North Vietnam, with the loss of three (Russell A. Poor, Herb Doby, Woodrow H. Wilburn) of the six crew aboard (Jack Williamson Bomar, John O. Davies, and John Fer became Prisoners of War, released in the Spring 1973.)
