en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dusolina_Giannini She appears to be in Central Park, with a little more study we should be able to find the exact spot.

According to The Pleasantville press., February 17, 1923, Page 5, Cols 1-2, under large advertisement for meat chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn91064030/1923-02-17/ed-... Soprano Dusolina Giannini was from a musical family. They lived in Pleasantville, NJ. Her father Ferruccio A. Giannini was a tenor. Her mother, Antonietta Briglia was a violinist. Her older sister, Eufemia, was also a soprano. Her younger brother Victor (or Vittorio) was a composer at a young age. The girls both studied under Marcella Sembrich who taught at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, where Eufemia later taught. According to www.naxos.com/person/Dusolina_Giannini/3473.htm "After four years of study, Giannini was suggested by Sembrich as substitute for the soprano Anna Case in a 1923 concert at Carnegie Hall. Her singing won high critical praise and many offers of work quickly followed." www.encyclopedia.com/women/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcr... indicates that the concert for which she was a stand-in was on March 14, 1923, when "a series of events prevented Genei Sandero and two backup performers from appearing at Carnegie Hall. Giannini was plucked out of Sembrich's class and placed on the stage, an appearance which was a triumph. She received offers to perform with major orchestras and a recording contract with the Victor Talking Machine Company as a result." The Victor contract was likely the trigger for Bain to commission a photo-shoot.
