Another New York Times article on the 15th International Congress on Hygiene and Demography, opened 23 September 1912, in Washington, D.C. It seems most delegates arrived in New York City and did some touring. Quoting the 15 September 1912 article (link): Hundreds of European physicians will arrive here this week on their way to Washington to attend the Fifteenth International Congress on Hygiene and Demography, which opens on Sept. 23. Among the members are some 300 medical men from Germany, who will reach New York on the Cincinnati on Tuesday.

His professor in the University of Berlin, who headed the party that arrived on the Cincinnati. One of the members of the party is Dr. Rudolph Lennhoff. Obit in NYTimes (dated Dec 27, 1933) Prof. Rudolf Lennhoff, one of the best known medical authorities in Berlin, died last night of apoplexy at the age of 68. He was the publisher of a library for social hygiene and of medical statistics and was recognized as an authority in the fields of heart, stomach and kidney.
