    Well, you can see the airmen posing by their warplanes, and you can see the bombers flying in formation, and you can see them dodging the flak to get to the target, but only photos such as this one make you realize what warfare does to us. Enormous losses of capital investments take place in the blink of an eye. Where do you even begin sorting out a ruin like this one?

    Built for Charente SS Co Ltd (T & J Harrison & Co Ltd), Liverpool she went on to be sold in 1971 to Spica Shipping Co Ltd, FCyprus and renamed Aghios Georgios. In 1976 she was renamed as San Georgio when purchased By Ifestion SA, Panama. Eventually broken up in May 1977 at San Esteban de Pravia, Spain.
