C. Sugden, Tobacconist and Hairdresser. (See signage on wall of building).

Location is Parramatta Rd, Five Dock (between Ashfield and Drummoyne), near Croydon Rd. - trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/16324247 [see "Businesses for sale", 1st column].
Sugden was still there in May 1932 - trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/46653218 -

3 January 1930 was a Friday. It is amazing that such a hideous streetscape is full of interesting things. Those poles look very tall to me. Maybe because there are no trees to soften the lines.
