It is not St. Bavon, but St. Bavo (without "n"). "St." stands for "Saint".

Thanks, Jens V. While St. Bavon is not the preferred term, it does seem to be the most common English version of the name. See the Library of Congress subject authority record at authorities.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?AuthRecID=51357... .

Okay. On the other hand, this makes looking up some places more difficult. For example, the city where I live in is Antwerp; in English it's Antwerp, but in my native language it's Antwerpen and ... in French (also an official Belgian language) it's "Anvers", while in Spanish it's Amberes.
