  Looking south; train is westward and will cross beneath the eastward track at the girder bridge at right, then cross the pic right to left in the foreground. All this track was replaced by the present line that opened in 1960. The bridge was at 35.2650N 112.6439W.

  And, for clarification, "Nordlandsbåt" is the name of this kind of ship, not a geographical location.

  Greeboe, you are very right. The "nordlandsbåt" is considered to be a direct descendant of the Viking long ships. It comes in many sizes and regional variants, but they all look very similar. I believe the type shown on this picture was used in the annual Lofoten cod-fishing campaign, way into the 20th century. A few local boat-builders still do variants of the "nordlandsbåt" today.
