Opening yacht season at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, 1920s
This would certainly be pre 1934 (i.e. when Carment died).

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/51979177@N02] We had initially thought 1920s too, but for a completely different reason, that is the women's clothing. FYI, we have had word from relatives of David and Elizabeth Carment that the woman to his left is not Elizabeth unfortunately. The numbers below right are the museum's object numbers by the way. It's a very interesting article! Also, if you're interested, the Vaughan Evans Library holds a digitised collection of the Australian Motor Boating and Yachting Monthly.

Also, check out eMuseum Sport and Lifestyle section for a range of objects from our collection.

[http://www.flickr.com/photos/51979177@N02] He looks a bit like him but he doesn't have that same distinctive nose, the squint is similar though. Unfortunately that isn't David Shallard Carment either. I'm sure he'll turn up in more yachties pics though you can pretty much count on it :)
