Caption from same photo on Smithsonian's inauguration site: George Bush and Bill Clinton shake hands just after the inaugural ceremonies at the U.S. Capitol.

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called The White House & U.S. Presidents, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

In fifth grade, I remember watching Clinton's first inauguration speech in my history class. My teacher, Mr. Fry, said, "Look at his hair. It will be white in two years."

this is 1997

great shot

Brilliant photography, excellent shot. I like the use of light and the DoF. The colors are perfect. This has been a great day for the US and there will be one more tomorrow. Please comment on my pics, too. Gina from Germany
