That's the way the Library of Congress gets much of its content, particularly books -- but it only gets made available online to the general public once it is out of copyright. www.loc.gov/pictures/related/?va=exact&st=gallery&... shows more comical pictures of cats and dogs by this photographer.

What a great photo - cats are notoriously hard to take photos of. I wonder if the photographer at the time needed to take more than one?

Hulda Helene Lundager (b.1888), was one of six daughters of the photographer Jens Hansen Lundager (1853-1930).

Later in life (1913) Hulda was a music teacher, and then (1922) a nurse at General Hospital, East Street, Ipswich. [1]
