    I notice that there is an Aussie named Kelly Zevenbergen on Facebook -- who could, I'm guessing, be this woman's granddaughter? My forebears emigrated from the Netherlands also, coming to Michigan USA in the 1870s. My parents were very excited to return to visit relatives in 1956; they discovered that they could still remember the Dutch language that they had learned as children, from their parents speaking it at home.

    Zevenbergen (wiki) is also the name of a town in the Dutch province of Noord-Brabant, which seems like a more logical explanation of her name.
