Esta fotografia fue tomada en la plaza grande de la ciudad de Mérida, Yucatán, México. En el lado izquierdo de la foto se ve el Palacio de Gobierno, el cual se termino de construir en el año de 1892 (la foto es de 1899) enfrente del palacio esta la Plaza Grande, al fondo de la foto lado derecho se encuentra la Catedral de San Ildefonso y en la foto aparece tambien un coche Calesa, estos el dia de hoy son muy tipicos en la ciudad y prestan sus servicios para paseos turisticos.
