Esta es una foto del "Arco de San Juan", se encuentra en la ciudad de Mérida, Yucatán, México. Hay varios en la ciudad y fueron construídos alrededor del año de 1690, bajo el Gobierno del general Juan José de la Barcena. Se construyeron para demarcar hipotéticamente el núcleo central de la capital, diferenciándose de las jurisdicciones parroquiales de los barrios, extramuros, donde habitarían los nativos y también para adornos de las calles. Existen los arcos que se encuentran en la calle 61, calle 63 y calle 64, el arco de "San Juan" en la calle 61, el arco de "dragones" calle 63, y el arco " x-cul arco". Estos arcos fueron construidos por el Ing. militar Manuel de Zezera. Son únicos en la República Mexicana y son los monumentos más originales con los que cuenta la ciudad de Mérida. RDM 2011
