P appears to be for Pansy.

Could be something in the Births, marriages and Deaths column of the Irish Times, November 23rd 1978 (page 24 or 30).

L is for Lily

Niall McAuley are you sure? L is for some 4 letter word but neither the word nor the plant looks much like a lily. Edit: Though according to wikipedia, the only other 4-letter garden plants beginning with L are Leea and Luma, neither of which look remotely like that (being bushes), so I guess it must be Lily.

I wonder if any of the younger ones are those children from the previous shots?

O Mac That's so spooky - I can imagine the same figures still there.

Wikipedia has a photo of Lord Clonbrock in what looks like the same outfit down at the castle (maybe 500m from the house). It is labelled R. Welch 2 VI 00. Perhaps Lord Clonbrock often dressed exactly like this, though. That image is apparently part of the Welch collection at Galway library.

Welch is credited as a contibutor to the Clonbrock Collection, (possibly by accident?), so maybe it was the same day...
