In the bottom left hand corner, there is what seems to me to be the bow of a DUKW amphibious vehicle. 535 of these were sent to Australia as part of the United States Lend Lease program, and entered Australian Army service in 1942. [ ref. www.defence.gov.au/dmo/news/ontarget/nov06/rw.cfm ]

Attlee was vice-minister-president tijdens zijn bezoek. Pas op 27 juli 1945 werd hij premier Attlee was vice-prime minister at the moment of his visit. Only at the 27th of july 1945 he became prime-minister.
