I think the RUI medical school was in this building on Cecilia Street.

Carol. The skeleton in your picture appears to be female looking at the pelvic configuration. A side view would confirm by looking at certain bone angles. The seated skeleton in the other picture appears to be male. Also, it looks like your skeleton may had borne children.

Streetview GeoHive OSI 25" map. The photographer is on Blessington Street, Berkeley Street is crossing right-left, and we can see the length of Nelson Street.

Trams passing here would have been 9 and 10 to Phoenix Park and 19 and 20 to Glasnevin. According to wikipedia, the first of those electrified was #9, 22 November 1898.

ccferrie Excellent! So it looks as if these were Wolseleys, whether or not "touring cars".

National Library of Ireland on The Commons The nearer one certainly is - I'm not sure about the far one. The rear mudguard profile is more like some of the Benz cars I was looking at yesterday, although the body looks the same as the Wolseley.

BTW I thought the fencing might help identify the precise location on Chesterfield Avenue but it looks like it might be temporary fencing put in pace for the race. It looks like they are travelling down hill and into the sun so most probably in the direction of the city.
